Can I run Hades II?

To run the Hades 2 requirements, you will need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 GPU, an Intel Core i5-3210M processor, 8GB of RAM, and about 10GB of HDD or SSD space.

With Hades 2 now receiving a full 1.0 release, the official Hades 2 system requirements are confirmed. Much like Hades 2's predecessor, the latest game from Supergiant Games isn't very demanding of your PC or laptop, to the extent that most gaming rigs should have no issues getting the game to run well.

To meet the Hades 2 minimum requirements, you will need an AMD Radeon R7 360 graphics card, any dual core processor with a clock speed of 2.4 GHz such as the Intel Core i5-3210M, and 8GB of RAM. We predict that, despite being the minimum requirements, this will run the game without any real issue.

The developer has officially stated that you'll need much stronger hardware to play the game on the highest settings, but this shouldn't be too much to tackle for modern gaming rigs. The Hades 2 recommended specs requires an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a quad core processor with 2.4GHz of clock speed such as the Intel Core 2 Q6600 (a CPU from 2012).

Hades 2 size - How big is Hades?

The current Hades 2 download size on PC is 10GB of HDD or SSD space.

While we doubt that an SSD is essential to run Hades 2, we recommend installing the game onto an SSD anyway to reduce any load times between floors and rooms. Steam Deck players will also be please to hear that the Hades 2 Steam Deck rating has already achieved the "Verified" status. PCGamesN's own testing of the Hades 2 Steam Deck compatibility has shown that the game runs incredibly well, which isn't too surprising given the game's predecessor also ran incredibly well on Steam's own console.

Hades 2 settings

Considering how low the baseline Hades 2 requirements are, you won't need to tweak the Hades 2 settings much to get great performance out of the game. That said, there are a few options (and there are very limited options at this point in the game's development) which you can tweak to get the best video quality out of the game.

Turn the "Graphics Quality" to "High" and turn on VSync. The reason we recommend turning on VSync is because the game can easily run at a higher framerate than your monitor is capable of, which can cause a number of screen tearing issues (a full explanation can be found on our FPS calculator page). This is our only recommendation, as Hades 2 runs incredibly well on just about any gaming rig.
