Unfortunately, if you want to play Borderlands 4 on the higher graphics settings, you're going to need some pretty beefy hardware.

The Borderlands 4 recommended specs can be met on a Windows 10 OS device with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, an Intel Core i7-12700 CPU, and 32Gb of RAM. That's an incredibly high benchmark demand, and one that sets it apart from other AAA titles released in the same year such as Assassin's Creed Shadows and Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

The Borderlands 4 download size on PC requires 100GB of SSD space. On consoles, it is very likely that the download size will be smaller, hovering around the 80GB range by our estimates.

The developer has stated that SSDs are a requirement for playing the game, likely because HDDs are simply too slow to match what the game demands.
