Can I run DayZ?
To run the DayZ requirements, you will need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 GPU, an Intel Core i5-4430 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 16GB of free HDD or SSD space.
The DayZ system requirements are quite demanding for its time, with a minimum CPU equivalent to an Intel Core i5-4430 CPU required. The recommended CPU is greater or equal to an Intel Core i5-6600K. DayZ PC requirements state that you will need at least 8 GB RAM, but ideally have 12 installed. The minimum GPU recommended is equivalent to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760, but the recommended graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. You will need at least 16 GB of free disk space to install DayZ.
DayZ FPS Boost
Here are our tips to increase your DayZ framerate...
- Disable 'Vsync' and 'Foliage Smoothing'
- Lower options like Shadow Detail, Texture Filtering and Object Detail - these will see the biggest FPS boosts.
- Ensure you are running the game in fullscreen mode, not windowed.
- Disable any background applicaitons.
