However, the developers recommend a CPU greater or equal to an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 to play the game. You will need at least 500 MB of free disk space to install Dwarf Fortress. Provided that you have at least a modern graphics card you can play the game. But, according to the developers the recommended graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce 510.

Dwarf Fortress will run on PC system with XP SP3 or later and upwards. Additionally it has a Linux version.
