The Forza Horizon 4 download size on PC requires 65GB of HD space. On Xbox consoles, a similar amount of space was required.

Forza Horizon 4 Steam

Forza Horizon 4 Steam was delisted from Steam and the Microsoft store as of December 15, 2024. The decision to delist the game from Steam was the result of a licensing and agreement decision between Forza and their partners. While you're no longer be able to purchase the game, the game does remain playable to all Steam players who had previously purchased Forza Horizon 4, with online play remaining accessible despite the delisting.

The final Forza Horizon 4 event, Series 77, ran from July 25 to August 22 2025, at which point the playlist screen became inaccessible bar the Festival Playlist history. While there will be no further Festival Playlists after Series 77, Forza have stated that daily and weekly challenges will continue to provide players with Forzathon Points which can be exchanged for Backstage Passes.

Forza Horizon 4 Performance Guide

Forza Horizon 4 stuttering and low FPS issues can be sorted a number of ways, although the game is generally really well optimised.

• First, ensure you have the latest AMD drivers or NVIDIA drivers for your graphics card.
• Graphical options such as Shadow Quality and MSAA can be very demanding, so try turning these down if you want to boost your FPS.
• Make sure you run the game in fullscreen and not windowed - windowed mode will see FPS losses.
• If your PC is struggling to hit 60 FPS no matter what you do, try using the 30 FPS cap for a more consistent framerate.

Forza Horizon 4 issues can include infinite load screens and refusal to boot - this can be caused by the Discord Overlay or some anti-virus programs preventing the game from starting. But on the whole, FH4 is really well optimised for PCs - it is the second game in the Horizon series to be released on PC after Forza Horizon 3, so developers Playground Games have this game polished. It has full peripheral support too - for controllers and steering wheels.
