Can I run Frostpunk 2?

To run the Frostpunk 2 system requirements, you will need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPU, and an Intel Core i5-3210M CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 30GB of SSD space.

The official Frostpunk 2 PC requirements are nowhere near as high as they could have been considering the game's graphical fidelity and performance demands. 

To meet the Frostpunk 2 minimum requirements, you will need an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor or similar, alongside an AMD Radeon RX 550 graphics card, and 8GB of RAM. This will only get the game running on its lowest settings, so you'll want to aim much higher to ensure you get the best performance out of 11 Bit Studios bold expansion on the original Frostpunk. In fairness, even on the lowest settings, Frostpunk 2 is still an incredibly beautiful game, but you won't see all of the beautiful models rendered in the highest quality at this level. 

So, to meet the Frostpunk 2 recommended specs, you will need at least an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU, an Intel Core i7-9700K CPU, and 16GB of RAM. The original Frostpunk contained a considerable number of particle effects on account of the snowstorms and deforming terrain, so it's not surprising that the developer requires a fairly strong graphics card to get the game running at its best. With Frostpunk 2 set to be even grander in scale, so too will the burden on your PC be increased. Fortunately, the developer's official requirements are more or less what we expected.

The Frostpunk 2 download size on PC is 30GB of SSD space. An SSD is required to play the game, so don't expect to get the game running on a HDD.
