As a linear narrative-driven game, Guardians of the Galaxy minimum requirements are unsurprisingly tame, requiring you to run at least 8GB of RAM, either an AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or Intel Core i5-4460 at the heart of your system, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 570 powering the visuals. This gives you a lot of room, with a mixture of hardware that's up to seven years old.

Recommended system requirements don't jump much, either, asking for 16GB of RAM, an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i7-4790 CPU, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super or AMD Radeon RX 590 graphics card.

Currently, we don't know how optimised Guardians of the Galaxy will be at release or what settings you can tweak in order to get the best performance. We do know that it will support up to 8K resolutions, high-dynamic range (HDR), ray tracing, and Nvidia DLSS. To take advantage of ray tracing while playing Guardians of the Galaxy, you'll need to enable “High” reflections in the settings. However, Square Enix recommends using “Very High” if possible, while using "Ultra" on supported hardware if possible.
