Can I run Resident Evil Village?

The Resident Evil Village system requirements state you'll need at least 50 GB free to install the game. Provided that you have at least an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card you can play the game. But, according to the developers the recommended graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070. Resident Evil Village system requirements state that you will need at least 8 GB. Additionally, the game developers recommend somewhere around 16 GB in your system. To play Resident Evil Village you will need a minimum CPU equivalent to an Intel Core i5-7500. However, the developers recommend a CPU greater or equal to an Intel Core i7-8700 to play the game.

There is only a Resident Evil Village Steam release - the game is not available on the Epic Games Store, or through Game Pass.

Some users have had success running Resident Evil Village without even meeting the minimum system requirements, with the game successfully running without a dedicated GPU at a playable framerate.

There's a number of graphical presets available in the game, making it easy to get a baseline performance before going further into tweaking the settings. 'Recommended' sets the graphics according to your GPU's VRAM capacity, although this doesn't take into account that some GPUs will be older than others. Other presets include 'Prioritise performance' and 'Prioritise graphics', and we'd recommend the former if your graphics card is on the older side.

To see the biggest performance increases, we'd recommend turning off settings such as variable rate shading, ambient occlusion, and subsurface scattering. Vsync will also see a significant fps boost, although it may come at the expense of screen tearing.
