The Team Fortress 2 system requirements are very undemanding and should run on any modern PC. Valve asks for a minimum CPU equivalent to a Intel Pentium 4 1.70GHz, whereas, the recommended CPU is an Intel Pentium 4 3.00GHz or equivalent. You will need at least 15 GB of free disk space to install TF2. Team Fortress 2 system requirements state that you will need at least 512 MB of RAM. Additionally, the game developers recommend at least 1 GB of RAM in your system for the best experience. The TF2 system requirements also state that the minimum graphics card you can play it on is an AMD Radeon X1600. Furthermore, an NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT is recommended in order to run Team Fortress 2 with the highest settings.

TF2 runs on the Source game engine which is very well optimised and has very low system requirements - this means you shouldn't run into any major performance issues. However, if your PC is near the minimum specs then try the following steps.
