The minimum memory requirement for The Witness is 4 GB of RAM installed in your computer. If possible, make sure your have 8 GB of RAM in order to run The Witness to its full potential. To play The Witness you will need a minimum CPU equivalent to an Intel Pentium 4 1.80GHz. However, the developers recommend a CPU greater or equal to an Intel Pentium 4 4.00GHz to play the game. You will need at least 5 GB of free disk space to install The Witness. The cheapest graphics card you can play it on is an Intel HD 4000. Furthermore, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 is recommended in order to run The Witness with the highest settings.

The Witness will run on PC system with Windows 7 and upwards. Additionally it has a Mac version.
