Can I Run World War Z?

The cheapest graphics card you can play it on is an ATI Radeon HD 5870. But, according to the developers the recommended graphics card is an AMD Radeon R9 280. To play World War Z you will need a minimum CPU equivalent to an AMD A10-5700 APU. However, the developers recommend a CPU greater or equal to an Intel Core i7-3970X to play the game. The minimum memory requirement for World War Z is 8 GB of RAM installed in your computer. Additionally, the game developers recommend somewhere around 16 GB of RAM in your system. You will need at least 35 GB of free disk space to install World War Z. World War Z does not require a beast of a PC, despite its large quantities of AI and action, powered by the Swarm Engine. AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 and AMD Radeon VII are two GPUs that have performance boosts when playing World War Z because of the Adrenalin Edition 19.4.2 driver by AMD offering support to the game. The former reportedly getting a 19 percent boost, and a 24 percent boost with the latter card. Keep this in mind if you are keen on the performance of World War Z specifically. The minimum Core i3-3220 is incredibly cheap and offers decent performance, whilst settings are to be lowered with it, the game can be run at a playable 30FPS. The recommended Intel Core i7-3970 is more than enough for the performance, but comes at an incredible price. Going between the minimum and recommended with an i5 model, would be best on a budget, specifically the i5-750. The minimum AMD equivalent, the AMD A10-5700, is not a sound option, its unique architecture beyond the game means that a specific motherboard socket is needed, one that would not allow for future hardware upgrades. Then within games, lack of L3 cache memory and having its own graphics core, decreases framerate. Not wanted in a shooter such as World War Z. One final option is the AMD Phenom II X4-810, this can allow for higher performance at a competitive price. With only 2.6GHz it can be overclocked to help run World War Z well, to around 3.25GHz with good cooling, according to techradar. The minimum Intel 630 is an integrated graphics card found in various desktops and notebook processors of the Kaby-Lake generation, if you know that your graphics card is integrated, check if it is this one. The GeForce GTX 650 ti will keep the game’s frames at a desirable level on medium graphics when paired with a CPU like the i5-720. Similar to the GTX 650 ti, the Radeon HD 5870 will be able to play the game at a satisfactory rate when paired with a CPU that will not bottleneck its performance. World War Z’s recommended GeForce GTX 960 is a great price and should give the game its best performance and graphics along with a mid tear CPU, but stuttering and lower than 60 frames have been reported with these specs. The Radeon R9 280 is another GPU known for great performance, making high settings with stable and high frames possible for World War Z. 35GB of storage is required to download the game, and a minimum of 8GB RAM is needed, but with a recommended 16GB. World War Z’s settings options are not broad, but anti-aliasing, shadows, textures, have the ability to be turned up or down, to help increase a struggling framerate. Keeping your drivers updated will also help the performance, the ones optimised for World War Z specifically too. There are also reports of open overclocking software and overclocking cards and chips causing the game to crash, so overclocking can’t be a fix to frame rate issues.

World War Z will run on PC system with Windows 7 and upwards.
