XDefiant System Requirements

To run the XDefiant system requirements, you will need an AMD Radeon RX 5500 GPU, an AMD Ryzen 3 3100 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 35GB of free HD or SSD space.

This massive multiplayer arena shooter doesn't require a great deal from your PC in order to meet the base XDefiant requirements, but you'll definitely want to secure a really good internet connection if you want to avoid any gameplay-altering lag or performance hitches. 

If you want to meet the XDefiant minimum requirements, you'll need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card, an Intel Core i7-4790K processor, and at least 8GB of RAM. Of course, this will only get you up and running on the lowest graphics presets. If you want to ensure the best in-game performance, you'll want to aim for a higher benchmark. 

To play on the game developer's XDefiant recommended specs, you'll need an AMD Radeon RX 580 GPU, an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, and 16GB of RAM. Intel processor users have the advantage here as the recommended Intel processor is the Intel Core i7-4790K, which is the same as the minimum requirements. 

Fortunately, the bump in graphics card between the XDefiant PC requirements isn't too high, so you'll almost always have a great gaming experience so long as you meet the minimum requirements. Just be sure to slot some extra RAM for a performance boost.

XDefiant size

XDefiant settings

Even if you meet the XDefiant recommended requirements, many players are encountering huge FPS drops on numerous maps including Dumbo and Mayday. Our own benchmark tests have demonstrated that an average FPS of 130 can be achieved with an NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti GPU, an Intel Core i5-10400F CPU, and 16GB of RAM. However, even this benchmark encountered some frame rate drops at times. 

In a small ray of hope, many players are also reporting that the frame rate issues have been largely resolved as of a recent XDefiant update. If, however, you are still encountering issues, here are some ways you can improve your XDefiant FPS:

• Update your game to the latest version
• Ensure no background applications are running while playing XDefiant
• Ensure your monitor refresh rate matches your FPS cap (for more info, check out our FPS calculator page)
• Reduce Ambient Occlusion, Local Reflection Quality, Vegetation Quality, Volumetric Fog, Particle Details, and Global Reflection Quality to "Low"

XDefiant Steam

As is the case with many Ubisoft titles, XDefiant is not available on Steam. It is, however, available for free on the Ubisoft store and via the Ubisoft launcher.
