Can I Run Back 4 Blood?
The Back 4 Blood system requirements are extremely forgiving, especially if you're using a slightly older gaming GPU. In fact, Turtle Rock Studios' Left 4 Dead successor recommends an Nvidia GTX 970 or an AMD RX 590, with the slightly newer Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti and AMD RX 570 meeting the minimum requisite.
On the CPU side of things, you're going to need at least an Intel i5-6600, while meeting the recommended system requirements demands an Intel Core i5-8400. If your gaming PC has an AMD CPU, then you'll need an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 but will have a smoother experience with an AMD Ryzen 7 1800X.
Back 4 Blood's RAM requirements are slightly less forgiving, as you'll need at least 8GB installed in your rig and 12GB if you want to experience the horror FPS at its best.
You'll also want to make sure you have 40GB free to accommodate Back 4 Blood's download size on your gaming SSD, which could be tricky if you have a lot of Steam games or the likes of Call of Duty: Warzone installed.

Back 4 Blood PC Update
There was a pre-release hotfix for the game which aimed to resolve lag and possible crashes caused by text entry. It also targeted performance issues and allowed dialogue language to be set to any non-English supported langauge.
Turtle Rock Studios has made a public Trello board, detailing the game's latest updates and any bug fixes that are currently in development.
Back 4 Blood settings
Check out our settings guide for the most in-depth details on the best Back 4 Blood settings, but here are some pointers to get you started:
If your Back 4 Blood experience is suffering from frightfully low fps, try setting the game’s post-processing quality, as anything about this selection affects performance by a staggering 20-22%. Naturally, adjusting the games effects, foliage, and shadows quality can help increase performance, but you’ll have to decide whether you think it’s worth compromising the game’s visuals for a few frames of a difference.
Back 4 Blood also has a frame limiter and V-Sync toggle for fps stability, so if you find your performance is slightly erratic, you might want to consider turning them on. Alternatively, if you have a GSync or FreeSync compatible gaming monitor, you should be able to leave these settings off while still avoiding potential screen tearing and jitters.
Nvidia RTX series rigs can also take advantage of DLSS upscaling, as using the ‘Quality’ preset results in a 13% fps boost, with the ‘Balanced’ preset boosting things by a further 9%. Of course, if you’re looking to boost fps as high as it can go, there’s also the AI’s ‘Performance’ and ‘Ultra Performance’ options, which increases frame rates by 34% and 51% respectively, something that’s bound to be handy if you’re playing on an entry-level graphics card, like the RTX 3050 laptop GPU.
Back 4 Blood will run on PC system with Windows 7 and upwards.
