Can I run Battlefield 2042?
The Battlefield 2042 system requirements are a slight step up from those listed for the August technical play test, but you'll still need at least 8GB of RAM in your gaming PC to keep the game ticking or up it to 16GB in order to meet the recommended. And, as we expected, Battlefield 2042 takes up 100GB of space and recommends an SSD for optimum performance.
Fortunately, you don't need much to meet the game's requirements. The cheapest graphics card you can play it on is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 560, but you might notice EA has raised the bar for the minimum CPUs as you'll now need an Intel Core i5-6600K or an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 to run the game - the latter of which was the previously recommended processor.
The recommended specs show the biggest leap if you want to hit 60fps at 1080p resolution, now suggesting the current generation Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 and AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT rather than their previous-gen counterparts. Nothing's changed if you're team blue, as an Intel Core i7-4790 is advised, while team red players will need to rock an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or greater.
