Can I run Mafia: Definitive Edition?
The Mafia Definitive Edition system requirements ask for 50 GB of free storage space to install the game. As a remaster the graphics are completely overhauled from the original 2002 release, so the system requirements are quite demanding; the minimum CPU required is an Intel Core i5-2550K. However, the recommended CPU is an Intel Core i7-3770 is recommended in order to run it. Provided that you have at least an AMD Radeon HD 7870 graphics card you can play Mafia Remastered. But, according to the developers, the recommended graphics card is an AMD Radeon RX 5700. Mafia Definitive Edition system requirements state that you will need at least 6 GB of RAM. If possible, make sure you have 16 GB of RAM in order to run the game to its full potential.
Mafia Definitive Edition Performance Guide
The Mafia remake system requirements were set sensibly and the game has been well received since release and it seems to be a decent PC port with good optimisation. The game is based on the same engine as the new Mafia 3 game, however, this seems to run better. But, if you are trying to increase your frame-rate here are some tips.
- Disable hardware acceleration on Discord - this frees up GPU bandwidth for the game.
