Can I Run Grand Theft Auto V?
To run the enhanced GTA 5 system requirements for PC, you need an NVIDIA GTX 1630 graphics card, an Intel Core i7-4770 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 105GB of space.
Once upon a time, which is to say back in 2015, the GTA 5 requirements were practically timid, requiring an ancient graphics card and processor. However, Rockstar released the Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced edition in 2025 which significantly increased the game's demands. As such, you'll now need a relatively modern Windows 10 or 11 OS system to run Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online.
The new Grand Theft Auto 5 minimum requirements require a Windows 10 OS or higher PC or laptop with an AMD Radeon RX 6400 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1630 GPU, an AMD FX 9590 processor, and 8GB of RAM. By modern standards, this is still an incredibly low benchmark which most entry-level and mid-range PCs a little older than five years old should be able to meet without issue.
As for the GTA 5 recommended specs, however, you will need more advanced hardware, namely an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or an AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card alongside an Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, and 16GB of RAM. This level of hardware is what you'd expect to see for your average AAA title in 2025, and offers a much smoother and more crisp experience with enhanced graphics over the Legacy version.
