World of Tanks System Requirements

To run the World of Tanks system requirements for desktop, you will need an NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GPU, an Intel Pentium E2180 CPU, 3GB of RAM, and 70GB of space.

The World of Tanks minimum requirements for desktop are slightly lower than the laptop minimum recommendations, requiring an ATI Radeon HD 4550 GPU, an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 CPU, and 3GB of RAM to play on a desktop PC. Laptops by comparison require a minimum of an AMD Radeon HD 6480G GPU, an Intel Core i5-2540M CPU, and 4GB of RAM to play the game on the lowest settings.

If, however, you want to play World of Tanks PC on a more graphically enhanced experience (which we recommend due to the inherent advantages smoother gameplay and enhanced visuals give you in an online competitive game) and meet the World of Tanks recommended specs, you will need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 graphics card, an Intel Core i5-3330 CPU, and 6GB of RAM.

WoT PC download size is bigger than average, so make sure you have 70GB of free disk space in order to install World of Tanks.

World of Tanks Vs War Thunder

The biggest difference between the two games is the wider range of vehicles in War Thunder - tanks, boats and ships. Wargaming splits up them between three games. Check the War Thunder system requirements, World of Warships requirements and don't even bother with World of Warplanes.

World of Tanks update

The World of Tanks 1.23 update introduced a new mechanic known simply as "Random Events" which have the power to dramatically shake up the battlefield by providing tactical opportunities, and aiding in the destruction of positional deadlocks. For the moment, Random Events are only available on the Himmelsdorf, Ruinberg, Prokhorovka, and Safe Haven maps, but more could be added in a future update.
