Can I Run DOOM Eternal?
An Intel Core i5-661 CPU is required at a minimum to run DOOM Eternal. Whereas, an Intel Core i7-6700K is recommended in order to run it. You will need at least 50 GB of free disk space to install DOOM Eternal. DOOM Eternal system requirements state that you will need at least 8 GB of RAM. The cheapest graphics card you can play it on is an AMD Radeon R9 280. Furthermore, an AMD Radeon RX 480 is recommended in order to run DOOM Eternal with the highest settings.
Doom Eternal PC is a relatively demanding game and will need a dedicated gaming PC to run it. It is not a PC game that will run easily on your old laptop or PC - the 2020 Doom is bang up to date. The developer id Software built Doom Eternal using the id Tech 7 engine. Bethesda claims that the minimum specs will deliver 1080p / 60 FPS / Low Quality Settings and the recommended will offer 1080p / 60 FPS / High Quality Settings. They also say that on NVIDIA GTX 970 cards Texture Quality should be set to Medium.
Doom Eternal Updates
There have been several Doom Eternal patches fixing bugs and optimising performance. The most recent patch fixed a crash on the final level, and a bug where photos taken in photo mode were not saved.
Bethesda has promised consistent Doom Eternal DLC support, with the first big update coming Summer 2020 but don’t worry the DOOM Eternal - Year One Pass system requirements will be the same as the main game.
DOOM Eternal Steam
Doom Eternal can be bought officially on Bethesda.Net and Steam - though both versions use the Steam client for multiplayer. There is also a DOOM Eternal Game Pass release, which means you get the game as part of the monthly subscription from Microsoft.
