Can I Run GTA Trilogy?
Rockstar's GTA Trilogy might be a retro remaster, but the new GTA Trilogy system requirements are comparable to Red Dead Redemption 2. To dive into this crime caper, you'll need at least an Intel® Core™ i5-6600K or AMD FX-6300 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 2GB or AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB. If you'd like to experience the Trilogy at its full remastered potential, you're going to a rig with an i7-2700K, 16GB RAM, and an Nvidia GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB graphics card.
In terms of storage, you'll need to free up 45GB on your gaming SSD or hard drive to install the game. It's not yet clear whether there will be an option to install individual games from the trilogy, as GTA: San Andreas Definitive edition could be coming to Microsoft game pass for PC as a solo release, so there's a chance that you'll be able to minimise install sizes by selecting individual titles
GTA Trilogy Steam
The GTA Trilogy hasn't been announced for Steam yet, but the game will be available to download through the Rockstar Launcher. Unfortunately, the original GTA Trilogy is no longer available on Steam, so if you're looking to dive back into Liberty City, Vice City, or San Andreas, you'll need to grab the new version of the game.
GTA Trilogy improvements
As you'd perhaps expect, Rockstar's GTA remaster brings more to the table than the original trilogy PC port, including high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, and a control scheme that's similar to GTA V. The new spruced up package also comes with new lighting and environmental upgrades, so visiting the crime-fuelled worlds of Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas will likely feel like a brand new experience.
GTA Trilogy settings
Rockstar's original GTA trilogy remains a classic but its rejuvenated visuals and engine could catch your gaming off guard. Thankfully, you should be able to tweak the game's settings to avoid any performance cap crimes. Naturally, dropping settings like shadows, textures, and lighting to low will help boost fps. However, if you're wanting a high fidelity experience in addition to high frame rates, you can enable Nvidia DLSS upscaling. Opting to use team green's tech should enable players on old rigs or gaming laptops to witness the game's open-world in all of its glory, whether you're looking to maximise resolution or keep fps at an all-time high.
